Join the Ride for Breast Cancer – Come by Foot Too!

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are excited to fundraise for a local organization, Ride for the Cure and support their 8th Annual Motorcycle Ride on October 11, 2014! The first “Ride for the Cure” was held in September of 2007 and has continued to grow over the years. In an effort to increase awareness in the community, the ride was based at the Harley-Davidson dealership in Winterville, NC. This year the Race is making a stop in Kinston, North Carolina and a portion of the proceeds will go towards helping people in Kinston in the fight against cancer. The money distributed to our neighbors in need are used to support breast cancer screenings, early detection programs, and provide assistance to breast cancer patients.

Community Cause

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Last year there were around 40-thousand deaths from breast cancer. It is the most common cancer among women in the United States, other than skin cancer, and the second leading cause of death in women, after lung cancer. With your help, we can reduce these numbers and fundraise to find a cure! We want to raise money so more and more women can have access to treatment and be able to detect the early signs of this disease, because early detection and treatment are the keys to survival.

At this year’s Ride for the Cure, Eastern Radiologists will be offering free breast cancer screenings, by appointment to those who qualify. We are asking our wonderful clients, family and friends to donate a small amount to make a BIG difference in our community.
